Quick, Simple, Healthy Guacamole Recipe


This meal can be made in less than five minutes.  All you will need is one avocado, some la mexicana salsa, and tortilla chips of your choice.  This meal is healthy and quite filling for being low in calories.  Avocado is high in fiber, micro-nutrients , and healthy fats which make it quite satieting. Our cells need low amounts of fats to survive and since avocado is mostly mono-unsaturated fat, it is a great choice to satisfy your body’s needs.  Avocados provide nearly 20 essential nutrients, including fiber, potassium, Vitamin E, B-vitamins and folic acid. They also act as a “nutrient booster” by enabling the body to absorb more fat-soluble nutrients, such as alpha and beta-carotene and lutein, in foods that are eaten with the fruit.  Because of this, adding avocado to your favorite dishes is a wise choice.  To begin, simply half the avocado and move the knife around the seed.  Then, scoop out the pit.  Next, spoon out all the yummy avocado and add a couple of tablespoons of salsa.  Mush together and now you have a delicious healthy meal/snack.  Enjoy.
